No! Friends can join your quests on the free Starter plan. Only the host needs an Explorer or Legendary plan to enable multiplayer. Up to 6 friends can play for free as your guests.
Yes, you can cancel at any time. You will continue to have full access to the platform until your current paid billing period expires, and you will not be charged again.
Embers are the universal currency that powers premium AI magic on Loretorch. Every plan includes a monthly Ember allowance that you can spend on image generation, AI quest building, character auto-building, and premium narration. Think of it as magical fuel — you choose how to burn it.
Avatar/Token Generation (character portraits, token icons): 2 Embers per image. Scene Image Generation (environmental art, location scenes): 4 Embers. Battle Map Generation (large tactical maps): 10 Embers. Character Auto-Build (full stats, lore, backstory): 15 Embers. AI Quest Auto-Build (multi-step full adventure): 40 Embers. Premium Narration (cinematic quality voice): 1+ Embers per turn (varies by model).
Your core engine continues uninterrupted - unlimited AI turns, standard narration, VTT, and all platform features keep working. You just won't be able to generate new images or auto-build content until your Embers refresh next month. Or, you can purchase an Ember Pack for an instant top-up.
